The Problem
The explore page hasn’t been updated in years.
Although Markit has shifted its focus on text marketing, many of their customers still associate them with event hosting as they used to be an event-based company (similar to Eventbrite). Therefore, their explore page is one of the most important and frequently visited pages on their web app. However, its design was highly outdated and hard to use.

Design Ideation
My biggest project yet!
For this project, I had to completely redesign 6 different web pages for both mobile and desktop browsers. I started by redesigning smaller components (search bar, buttons), then combined different options together to create the best final product. During this process, I made over 30 iterations of designs, but here are some of the highlights!

The Solution
Simplify and Modernize
While I played around a lot with the idea of adding top level organization tabs to separate tech and nightlife events, the developers informed me that they wouldn’t have time to implement it. Therefore, I decided to simplify the design from Draft 3 for the final product.
I combined each of the elements below to create my final design.
